BVSC add Hayk Kaya for 2012

Boston Victory S.C. are proud to announce the addition of Hayk Kaya. Kaya was a standout during the February open tryouts. He is a Turkish born Armenian, first moving to the USA in 1992. Kaya currently plays for Mass Bay Community College.

The tryouts on February 25th 2012 brought out more than 70 hopefuls attempting to make the BVSC inaugural team. Head coach Sergio Taborda immediately noticed Kaya’s abilities. Taborda says, “He was like a pit bull on the field, his determination, speed, and power is a deadly combination, it’s something you do not see from a lot of players.”

In an interview with Kaya, his words were laced with determination. He believes he will bring an “intense focus and an attitude to get better and grow each training session week by week until the season begins..” Kaya states that he hopes to bring “inspiration to [his] teammates, commitment to learn, and also demonstrate respect on and off the field.” He promises to give his all to the club, fans, and community. Although soccer may be his number one priority, Kaya also believes in helping the community and promises to give back to the Boston area during his time at BVSC. Kaya hopes to form strong partnerships with the current BVSC players and learn all he can before the season begins on May 5th.
