BVSC add Paul Latif for 2012

Boston Victory S.C. are proud to announce the addition of Paul Latif, an instant hit during the February open tryouts. Latif was born in Newcastle England, first moving to the USA in 2009. He currently plays for Franklin Pierce University.

The tryouts on February 25th 2012 brought out more than 70 hopefuls attempting to make the BVSC inaugural team. Latif’s abilities immediately caught the eye of head coach Sergio Taborda. Taborda says, “He is a very elegant player with excelent ball control and good balance, clinical in the last third of the field. Latif fits our system perfectly and will be a shining star.”

In an interview with Latif, his words were filled with desire to succeed. He believes he will bring “a lot of experience as well as a great ability to create and score goals for the team…” Latif considers himself to be a very dedicated individual, and one to push himself and his team mates. Latif remarked by saying “I want to become the best player I can possibly be. I want to grow as a player and play at the highest level possible and that is what drives me.” When asked about what his initial thoughts were about Boston Victory Latif replied “I am very impressed by the commitment and set up of the club. Being a new club you would imagine things would start of slowly but the growth I have seen already is great for the game of soccer, especially being around the Boston area.” Latif promises to give his all to the club, its fans, as well as repay the faith shown in him by his current coach Craig Stewart and thank him for bringing him the the USA.
